Nike are continuing to pay homage to their Swoosh, with the ,Air Max Plus preparing to become the latest model to celebrate the origins of the world-famous logo. On the back of recent unveilings of an Air Max 90 and Dunk High calling out the date the now omnipresent trademark was registered with the US Patent Office, we now have official pics of this Air Max Plus.

Adopting a similar blue theme to the AM90 in the pack, this TN ups the Swoosh content across the silhouette, in addition to ‘First use June 18, 1971’ text appearing in white under the lateral Swooshes. Continuing that Swoosh celebration, metallic gold lace locks in the shape of the beloved insignia shine on with a cheeky little diamond encrusted in each.

The ground-breaking creation of legendary sneaker designer Sean McDowell, the notorious Air Max Plus made its debut in 1998 – having a big impact from the very beginning. As Nike themselves once said, ‘Some athletic shoes transcend their performance roots and become a cultural phenomenon’.

Pairs of the ‘First Use’ Air Max Plus are expected to hit Nike and selected Swoosh stockists very soon. We’ll update you if an official release date is announced.
