The Air Jordan 5 ‘What The’ Release is Almost Here!
Big releases in recent weeks have overshadowed the pending drop of the sneaker smorgasbord known as the ‘What The’. Now with a bit of breathing room for a mid-week update, here are official shots of the upcoming AJ5 jumble ahead of its early-November release.
By now, the inspirations for this colourway should be fairly clear. There’s reference to the ‘Toro’, ‘T23’, ‘Olive’, ‘Bel Air’, ‘Green Bean’, ‘Grape’, and ‘Black Metallic’ editions, with a couple more additional overlapping colours. The result is a completely asymmetric pair of sneakers that will have the non-sneakerhead people in your life questioning whether you purposely wore mismatched shoes. To which you can show them , then they’ll hopefully understand.
On the material front, this should be one of the more varied releases from this year. There’s a nice mix of suede and nubuck up top, while midfoot netting is an essential component. Copious hits of reflective on the tongues come correct, and iced sole sections throw back to catalogue specifications.
