The Air Jordan 5 ‘Raging Bull’ Rushes Into JD Sports
The team at are already having a rampant year, and things are about to get even more fiery with the release of the ‘Raging Bull’. Widely regarded as one of the , it first released back in 2009 and, following a recent retro return, the heater colourway is charging horns-first into the .
Exuding an exclusive aesthetic, the design makes use of luxe red suede with matching laces, while classic 3M reflective tongues, embroidered Jumpman heels, and throwback translucent outsoles add to the special touches. As expected, the red-hot colourway is accompanied with the AJ5’s along the black midsole, elevating the already aggressive look. Other familiar adornments include the clear lace toggle, and ‘23’ embroidery on the lateral side towards the heel.
Following its 30th anniversary last year, the Air Jordan 5 is continuing its in 2021. Designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield, the silhouette was inspired by America’s WWII P-51 fighter jets. Debuting during the 1989–90 season, the baller helped Michael Jordan launch a devastating aerial assault on the Motor City ‘Bad Boys’, as his beloved Chicago Bulls locked horns with the Detroit Pistons in a famed post-season NBA match-up.
