The Air Jordan 4 ‘Lightning’ Strikes at JD Sports
It’s only taken 15 years, but the ‘Lightning’ is finally back. Sparks are set to fly online and IRL when the electrifying complement to the ‘Thunder’ strikes at this weekend.
This AJ4 return has been hard for sneakerheads to predict, however there are no more surprises. The ‘Lightning’, which is also officially known as ‘Tour Yellow’, is a one-to-one remake of the original 2006 release, and this time the entire family can go mellow yellow. This lifestyle remix of the iconic model sees a complete makeover in soft nubuck – even the classic lace ‘wings’ and heel tabs. Other material deviations include a raised ‘jewel’ Jumpman on the heel tabs, while grey fabric lines in the insides. Even the shoebox is different to the normal black variety: yellow-hued cement speckle decorating the packaging is worthy of display in any collection.
