The Air Jordan 35 ‘Dynasties’ Pays Homage to the Forbidden City
The 35th chapter in the catalogue of flagship model, the is the latest technological achievement to emerge from the Jumpman hangar.
Marking 35 years of innovation, the AJ35 utilises the latest Air Zoom cushioning. Incorporating the Eclipse Plate 2.0 (the first iteration was used on the Air Jordan 34), the AJ35 was seen quite frequently on the NBA’s hardwood during the interrupted 2019-20 season.
The latest colourway to grace the silhouette is the ‘Dynasties’ design, inspired by Beijing's Forbidden City. This AJ35 takes aesthetic cues from the traditional Chinese architecture found in the the centre of Beijing. The red city walls, pillars, and palace gates reflect the idea of good luck, while the golden tiled roof is imbued with respect for the Emperor.
The design celebrates the 600th anniversary of the Forbidden City this year. Look for the Air Jordan 35 ‘Dynasties’ to release on October 22.
