Just when we thought the was going be the biggest release of the year, it looks like the Jumpman have gone and pulled out the ace from the deck: the ‘Bred’. Rumoured to be a recreation of the true OG from 1985, the iconic high-top is set to return with old school higher-cut ankle, supple leather, and one-to-one proportions.

Last retroed in , the sneaker will don the familiar black and ‘Varsity Red’ panelling with the Ball and Wings logo on the lateral ankle collar.

The ‘Banned’ 1s were originally worn by Michael Jordan back in ’85, but were later outlawed by NBA Commissioner David Stern for not having enough white on them. This rule, known as the ‘51 per cent’ rule, was repealed in the late 2000s.

Slated for release on November 29 (Black Friday), the Air Jordan 1 ‘Bred’ in OG ’85 form will retail for $160. More news and info to come!
