Release Delayed: adidas Yeezy BOOST 700 ‘Bright Blue’ Is Almost Here

Few silhouettes have captured the public imagination like Kanye West’s adidas Yeezy BOOST 700.

Unveiled during the Yeezy Season 5 fashion show in February 2017, the Yeezy BOOST 700 was Kanye’s own rendition of the dad-shoe phenom that would later sweep the globe in 2018.

Signalling a shift from Yeezy’s earlier, more minimalist design vernacular, the 700 literally arrived on a wave (the ‘Wave Runner’ colourway) that swept up sneakerheads, and is still one of the most coveted silhouettes in Kanye’s extensive catalogue.

After a long run of more subdued, earthy renditions of the 700, the Yeezy label have broken the seal on more tenacious colourways, the latest ‘Bright Blue’ colourway a testament to this claim. First rumoured in early November 2020, the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 ‘Bright Blue’ is finally slated to land on April 17.

Manufactured with royal blue uppers, and suede and mesh panelling, the vibrant burst of orange on the midsole imbues the 700 with a tropical palette, while black outsoles and aqua detailing on the toe pay homage to the OG ‘Wave Runner’ colourway.

According to the Yeezy Mafia, the adidas Yeezy BOOST 700 ‘Bright Blue’ lands on April 24. The sneaker will retail for $240.
