Another TMNT x adidas Superstar Has Just Leaked

Cowabunga, 80s and 90s kids! To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ first comic book appearance, adidas are whipping up a TMNT 'Shelltoe' line of Superstars that will start dropping in early 2024. Complex reports an insider scoop on some details and first looks of the official colab. These initial glimpses deliver on the potential of the turtle powered martial artists getting the ‘Shelltoe’ treatment. As far as colabs go, it makes perfect sense, hey? (Get it? Like sensei…)

The first looks showcase the TMNT x adidas ‘Raphael’ Shelltoe, and they imply a design theme that will vary with a slightly different colourway per brother. The foundation for the colour scheme is a green upper with a white turtle shell pattern on the toe. There are three sets of different coloured laces to be blazoned with monogram lace charms of each turtle’s bandana/mask, and the signature Trefoil logo down the side of the shoe will be in the matching colour.

The attention to detail goes even deeper with a 'Ninja Power!' message found under the tongue, pizza graphic insoles, and a hidden 'City Sewer' cap on the footbed. The nostalgia is driven home with action-figure style blister packaging and a collectible comic book panel backboard.

According to an internal adidas document viewed by Complex, the first pair is scheduled for a February release with two more dropping in April. adidas are yet to comment, so release dates haven’t been confirmed and are subject to change.
