After blessing New Balance fans around the globe with his first batch of curated MADE in USA releases – a 990, 990v2 and 990v3, to be precise – Teddy Santis is back with his second 990v3. Officially dubbed 'Rain Cloud/Sea Salt' and first revealed by the Aimé Leon Dore founder in a drool-inducing teaser post back in March, this new style combines dad-approved white and silver shades with aged detailing and other tasteful tweaks. In short, it's a shoe that can quite literally be worn by supermodels in London and dads in Ohio.

Full-grain leather and sporty mesh meet on the upper, while the colourblocking makes use of one of Santis' favourite tricks: combining white and cream shades for a blink-and-you'll-miss-it hit of trompe l'oeil detailing. There's plenty of grey and silver embellishments to be had as well.

Moving down to the lower half, the 990v3's familiar ENCAP midsoles take on a duo of cream shades. A finishing touch is served up by the insoles, which feature a specially branded hit. As this 990v3 is part of the MADE in USA line, it's guaranteed to contain a domestic value of 70 per cent or more.

If you've got your eye on a pair, they'll be dropping via the New Balance webstore on May 26. The MSRP is set at $209.99.

Santis' impact at New Balance extends far beyond his recent work on the MADE in USA line – he's also responsible in large part for the revival of the beloved 550. Be sure to check out our complete history of the once-forgotten basketball model by clicking here.
