Swarovski Crystals Bling Out the adidas Rivalry Low ‘Knicks’

Swarovski and adidas have teamed up for a range of shiny sneakers over the years, including Three Stripes icons the Stan Smith and Superstar. And now, the glistening glass masters have swapped the grass court for the hardwood by adorning the iconic Rivalry Low basketball shoe – in New York Knicks colours no less – with hundreds of sparkly crystals. While it seems an unlikely crossover for the two brands, let’s take a closer look at what’s going on because, at first glance, it doesn’t look too obstructive.

Naturally, being a luxurious release, both parties start with premium leather uppers on the popular throwback style. In fact, the blue and orange shades seem to be spot on, and the placement across the Three Stripes, midsole, and heel tabs is correct too. In fact, brilliant nature of the Swarovski crystals aside, it’s a very accurate reissue of an adidas classic.
