‘Sub Green’ Marks the 30th Anniversary of the adidas EQT SeriesRelease: 3 November 2021
There’s been a bit of heat coming out of the adidas camp lately, and it’s about to burn another hotspot with the return of the inaugural EQT models in their OG ‘Sub Green’ colourways. 2021 marks the ,30th anniversary of this flagship footwear series, and in addition to the archival styles making their triumphant return, adidas are also introducing some new spiritual successors.
Coming back soon is the Support 93, a model that, as the name suggests, is focused on offering superior support. This particular shoe has been retroed a number of times over the years, but adidas say this is the best remaster yet.
Joining the reunion is the Race Walk, which was designed in 1991 to be the fastest walking shoe available – after all, it wasn’t just runners who were looking for high performance.
And meeting these OG models is the CSG 91, something of a hybrid of the three core EQT models: the Cushion, Support and Guidance. While this is technically a new model, it certainly looks like it could’ve come straight outta 1991.
Last is the Equipment Prototype, a model based on an early sample of the Racing 93, which is completely different from the retail version. Borrowing elements from the Support 93, this new style is a glimpse of both the past and the future of EQT.
Each of these EQT models will release in the OG ‘Sub Green’ colourway on November 3 directly from adidas.
