Stranger Things x Nike Dunk Surfaces Ahead of Final Season

Lace 'em tight, sneakerheads – Stranger Things is gearing up for its final season, and cooking up a send-off straight outta Hawkins. Early leaks are already lighting up like a walkie-talkie in the Upside Down.
Tipped to arrive as a two-pack, one of the Dunks has already surfaced online, sporting weathered ‘Midnight Navy’ Swooshes, sockliners, outsoles, and Swoosh branding. On the heels, tongue tags and eyelets, Nike flips the script with upside-down branding – a nod to the show’s eerie alternate realm where Vecna still lurks. Interestingly, they've also called out the year 1987 – the year season five will be set. Elsewhere, cracked white leather provides a cleaner contrast, setting the stage for the other details to shine.
Altogether, the faux-worn leather exudes old gym gear vibes, a motif further emphasised by the yellowed midsoles, laces and tongues. The colour palette is also very much in-line with Hawkins' local ice cream parlour, Scoops Ahoy – a venue where some of the show’s most beloved scenes take place. Finally, Nike once again flip their logo on the insoles, while incorporating the iconic red Stranger Things typography.
The second pair reportedly flicks the lights off almost entirely, arriving in ‘Black’, ‘Speed Red’, ‘Varsity Red’ and ‘Anthracite’ – a shadowy, sinister scheme worthy of Vecna himself (‘Hey Siri, cue Kate Bush').
If Nike’s past Stranger Things colabs are any clue, we’re likely in for more than just fancy colours. The 2019 drops went deep, with burn-away uppers, hidden messages, and even denim-style underlays in the 'Upside Down Pack'. That run included the 'Hawkins High Pack' (, ), followed by an 'OG Pack' inspired by 1985’s July 4 showdown, and the eerie, peel-back layers of the Upside Down trio.
Keep your eyes wide and your SNKRS app loaded – when Nike hit the switch, these’ll vanish faster than a Demogorgon in the woods.
