Sporty and Rich Serve Up the adidas Adistar Control 5
Athleisure and turn-of-the-century retro runners continue to sit at the forefront of fashion as we move into the second half of 2025, and specifically, tennis-inspired design has stepped into the spotlight of late. The style is one that x astutely tapped into early this year with their collaboration. Next month they'll hold centre court yet again as they serve up two colourways of the adidas Adistar Control 5.
Though it has recently been trickling into stores, the Adistar Control 5 has not previously been a big emphasis on the Three Stripes' roster. However, it certainly aligns with the trending motif of the day – and, as consumers have been rifling through mesh runners options faster than you can say ‘Y2K’, the adidas x Sporty and Rich Adistar Control 5 could potentially set off the next hot silhouette.
One of the model's colourways sports a light grey palette, dressed with metallic silver and white accents. The other presents a more conservative white base with a few silver hits. Both are highlighted by teal detailing on the Three Stripes logo and throughout the midsole and outsole.
