Update February 26, 2024: The fourth and final iteration of the Social Status x Nike Mac Attack series is set to drop next month. Dubbed 'Status Symbol', the iteration takes on a clean black and white colourway with green accents. The release is open for raffle now on the Social Status website, with the collaborative Mac Attack set to launch on March 8, 2024, for $140. After reviving the 80s tennis silhouette in its OG form earlier this year, seem to be enjoying handing over the to their roster of collaborators. Not only are we expecting a colab with in the coming months, but the Swoosh have also linked up with for a couple of iterations of the model, including this all-new ‘Summer White’ version.
The Social Status x Nike Mac Attack ‘Summer White’ marks the Whitaker Group’s fourth take on the model, and the result is just as clean as their previous executions. John McEnroe’s signature shoe arrives with a white mesh base and creamy suede overlays, while black leather accents hit the collars, heel counters and outsoles. To complete the retro look, the pair also features pops of pine green at the tongue tabs and heel branding, as well as a pre-aged midsole underfoot. Don’t panic if this all sounds a little too simple for your taste - the mesh uppers are actually reflective, offering an extra point of detail.
The pair was first teased back in March by known sneakerhead and NBA star PJ Tucker, but you won’t have to wait much longer to get your hands on them. The Social Status x Nike Mac Attack ‘Summer White’ is dropping on November 17 and will retail for $140.
