Launch Details: The Whitaker Group x New Balance 1906U 'Willful Bias'

Founded by James Whitner in 2005, continue to lace up collaborations with the biggest names in sportswear. Teaming up with several times across the imprint’s near two-decade tenure, Social Status are now setting their sites on a silhouette arguably the hottest in the New Balance catalogue right now – the Coming in a pack featuring two unique colourways – one shimmering in hues of blue and another more subdued pair seemingly extolling NB’s grey heritage – and both renditions feature a premium mix of materials emblematic of the 1906. These typically include suede, mesh and reflective elements. Of course, both schemes will include all of the performance hallmarks of the 1906 that made the model so ubiquitous, including full-length N-Ergy cushioning and ABZORB.

The 1906 model continues to do much of the heavy-lifting for New Balance in recent months. A canvas for a multitude of collaborators, the 1906 has been reframed by everyone from to Loaded with sonic 2000s runner energy, the 1906 looks set to continue its rollicking pace in the back half of 2024.
