Sneaker Freaker x atmos GEL-Lyte III ‘Alley Cats’ Drops June 18!
We’ve been on the prowl to pounce on the perfect colab comeback, so we linked up with old mates for a transpacific three-way rework of the OG. With our respective hometowns connected by sprawling laneways, back alleys and seedy nooks, it was only appropriate to name this latest pet project the ‘Alley Cats’.
The feral inspo is fittingly expressed by atmos’ track record of using wild materials; tactile cowhide, shiny purple satin and stroke-friendly shorthair grey suede are primo inclusions. Signature SF colab features including perforated toe boxes and midsole speckle are reprised in gritty glory.
Other classic co-operative elements are reintroduced by each party in the form of glow-in-the-dark Tiger Stripes, satin tongues and ankle collars, and OG rubber grid vents. With each heel brandished by atmos and Sneaker Freaker logos, plus tonal tongue embroidery in the ASICS typeface, there isn’t a more personalised colab than the ‘Alley Cats’ between here and Harajuku. The finishing touch – travel stealthily in blacked-out purple laces, or spill out the toxic green strings – is left up to the wearer.
Don’t get caught cat-napping when 'purrs' land in the June 18 at 8am AEST. atmos will also be hosting a special 'Alley Cats' pop-up at their Propellor store in Tokyo on the same day.
