Slam Jam X ASICS GEL-Mai Angle Pack
are a defiantly different Italian retailer who have taken us to on a couple of occasions. Typically coming straight out of left field, their past colabs have been electrifying releases that challenge trends. It's no wonder then that their latest project with the Tiger Stripes sees them working on the outrageous .
Informed by angles, this two-pack of GEL-Mais is the best type of crazy. Slam Jam have been daring with the colour palette, liberally covering the shoes in splotches of bright pigment. The mostly-black Mai verges on being subdued, but still has ASICS branding stamped on the heel in pastel pink. The other, which features a base of dark teal, is charmingly eccentric with pink, purple, yellow and maroon all vying for attention. The release is definitely a trip, but it’s a trip we can’t wait to take.
