been putting out some weird and wonderful colourways of his signature shoe lately. We've seen , a , and a particularly  decked out in his former team's shades.

With this release, however, Irving has created an incredibly touching tribute to his late mother, Elizabeth. Elizabeth passed away when Kyrie was only four years old, and we regularly see him honour her by writing her name and date of death on the midsole. Of course, Kyrie doesn't just use sneakers to pay homage to his mom –  he named his daughter Azurie Elizabeth – but this release is definitely a tearjerker.

The basketball model was developed in collaboration with New Jersey retailer Sneaker Room. While it does reflect Kyrie's memories of his mom, the shoe is intended to show love for mothers everywhere. It's an all-white make-up, and you'll be able to choose between red or gold embroidered roses on the upper. Polka dot lining resembles a shirt Kyrie's mom loved to wear, and 'I Love You Mom' has been printed on the innersole.

Perhaps the most significant change to the OG Kyrie 3 is found on the tongue tab, where Kyrie's logo has been replaced with 'MOM' stylised in the same typeface. A gift tag attached to the laces lends a subtle 'bouquet of roses' touch.

Sneaker Room's owner Suraj Kaufman has also shown some love to his late mother: heel accents spell 'E.K.' for Ellen Kaufman and 'E.I.' for Elizabeth Irving. Love hearts on the translucent sole round things out.

The Sneaker Room x Nike Kyrie 3 release is very limited: there's only 250 red pairs (selling for $200). Fifty gold pairs have been made and they're set to sell for $1000. All proceeds will go towards women's domestic violence shelters. Most pairs will release in store, but in the unlikely event that there are leftovers, check Sneaker Room's site on December 2 at 2pm.
