Sean Wotherspoon Gives First Peek At New Nike Colab
It’s happening: Nike and Sean Wotherspoon are working on a new colab. The Vote Forward 2017 winner confirmed as much when he posted these new Air Max 1/97 hybrids to his IG, saying they were the first peek at the ‘second wave’.

First peek at the second wave! Still early on the sample process, and there’s a lot that’s going to change! I’m thinking add some color to the sole, make that air bubble infrared, gotta change the sock liner to yellow, maybe a new color insole?!, fix the denim on the tabs, and do a gradient from light to dark blue instead of all light blue?!? What new patches should I include with this pair?! I couldn’t be happier holding these babies in my hand, can’t wait to see the final sample! So much more dope Nike shit to talk about, can’t wait to tell everyone! 🌊🌊🌊🌊 @nikesportswear @nike
At current, the version hasn’t strayed far from the samples seen in July — it won’t stay that way, however. Wotherspoon has a bunch of changes up his sleeve, including yellow sock liners, a wavy gradient and an ‘Infrared’ Air bubble.
Something he isn’t sure on is which patches he should include. Weigh in via his comment section — who knows, your input might make it to production?
