Nice Slice: The Scarr’s Pizza x Nike Air Force 1 Lows Are a Knead-to-Cop

Scarr’s Pizza and – it's a union as hallowed as pepperoni and cheese. Ever since the release of the white Friends and Family edish in 2019, fans of pies and kicks have been waiting to get their greasy mitts on the model. Now there's a second, never-before-seen colourway to add to your plate: the moody 'Scarr's at Night'.
Founded in 2016 by NYC native Scarr Pimentel, Scarr's Pizza has evolved from a humble pie joint to a cultural institution and creative community hub. Located on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, it's known for its New York-style pizza – and for its 2019 Nike colab. The classic Air Force 1 silhouette, pizzeria-inspired palette, limited release and astral resale price (a pair at auction a few years ago) have ensured the model a spot in the Cabinet of A+ Colabs. Now, we've got eyes on the fresh black colourway – and they've turned up on the feet of Scarr Pimentel himself.
Eagle-eyed sneakerhead @dontchargeabdul spotted the dark silhouette on Pimental's feet over the weekend and snapped some pics, allowing us to scooch in close and investigate the details.
While the OG colab featured a white leather build, 'Scarr's at Night' salutes its title with a black leather base. The tongue embroidery, which originally bore Scarr's address of '22 Orchard', has been updated to '35 Orchard' (Pimentel moved the restaurant across the street in 2023). Nike have retained the blue-on-orange Swoosh on the left lateral and right medial and the reverse (orange-on-blue) Swoosh for the reverse (right lateral and left medial), the embroidered Scarr's logo on the lateral heel, the restaurant's digits on the lateral forefoot, and the gum outsole – though this last one comes in a deeper caramel version than the original. The embroidered maxims on the heel tabs – 'We Got This' and 'Word Is Bond' – appear to have been updated too, as the right tab looks to read 'We Still Got This'.
When will we see 'Scarr's at Night' served up on the checkered tablecloth? No clues yet, but if it's as limited as the original silhouette – a mere 48 pairs – we may be left empty-bellied or forced to face resale reality.
