Obviously this tubby little guy is a , yeah? [Insert 'wrong!' buzzer noise]. The extremely similar-looking design – the Addict – is actually the work of Ash. Among other reputable brands, the UK womenswear label counts Play as colab alumni, so we guess you can say they’re legit – don’t let this bite of fool you.
Ash's latest shoe blends Triple S and influences, but there’s no mistaking which source lent the most inspo DNA. Funnily enough, it’s one of those weird times that the imitation looks better than the OG, and comes with similar levels of quality to boot (the build boasts mesh, suede, nubuck and nappa calf leather).
Pastel panels work a treat to soften the design's eyesore factor. Instead of the Triple S's mismatched hectic clanging symbols vibe, the Addict delivers the chunk we love but with a whisper (in a French accent, the soothing sound of the ocean in the background).
Oh and did we mention the Addict is a third of the Triple S price? Sold!
