Salehe Bembury Announces Second New Balance 574 'Yurt' Collection
is back with his first colab of 2022, namely three more colourways of the popular Bembury teased each of these pairs as part of the original 'Yurt' campaign back in the fall of 2021, but they were shrouded in mystery and didn't release alongside the original grey and olive/navy/red styles.
Where the first set of 'Yurt' releases featured more earthy tones, this second set seems to draw from the bright and bold stylings of 1980s and early 1990s outdoor gear. One style combines teal with a Sprite-like mix of blue and lemon yellow, another offers some ACG vibes by adding some hits of berry, bone and blue to its bone-coloured base and the final pair mixes black and grey with rich purple and sport blue. Of course, all three of these 'Yurt' kicks boast an extra-chunky midsole, -style upper and a signature heel whistle, a playful detail that became one of 2021's most viral sneaker moments.
Bembury has announced that this second set of New Balance 574 'Yurt' colourways will release on his Be A Spunge web store come April 22. Each will retail for a standard $150.
