sacai Reveal Another Nike Hiking Hybrid: the Zegamadome

Following the release of their last December, are now releasing another hybrid. The Japanese brand is headed by Chitose Abe, and together with Nike, the duo has released a bevy of styles marked by their signature design cues, including the ,, , and most famously, their colab on the.

Dubbed the Zegamadome, the trail hybrid debuted during last week’s Paris Fashion Week show, and it combines two of Nike’s trail shoes, one retro and one current. The bottom half is taken from the Zoom X Zegama, with its Vibram outsole and ZoomX cushioning, but then the Lava Dome boot from the late 80s takes over, contributing the top of the midsole, along with the upper’s soft suede, plastic mid-foot cage, and sections of mesh.

Three colourways debuted of the sacai x Nike Zegamadome, with a monochromatic black complementing the creamy white iteration. While stacked with the specs required for hiking, the trio would easily look just as good on the pavements as the trails. The white version in particular comes correct in sleek, creamy hues, whereas the grey and yellow pair give off vintage hiking vibes, with rope laces and a hit of burgundy on the mesh.
