Ronnie Fieg X Buscemi 110mm (Bred)
UPDATE: Finally just landed at Kith NYC for any one with a spare $695.00 USD laying around. Updated flicks for all the homies that don't!
Jordan Brand typically throws its retro ball boots back in the spotlight when they're celebrating their 23rd birthday. That milestone is an anomaly across the sneakerworld, though – brands typically toast to 10, 20, 25 and 30 years in the game – but the inspiration for JB's birthday party is obvious to anyone who has ever seen His Airness float like the G.O.A.T. and sting like a Bull's horn on-court. That means that 2015 is a sort-of sleeper 30th anniversary for the Air Jordan 1. First laced up by MJ in 1984, the audacious uniform code-breaking red and black 1s first hit shelves in '85, and so far Jordan Brand hasn't laid out any elaborate parade plans to toast to three decades on top. Maybe that's coming, or maybe we're just going to see some sneaker drops here and there that hint at the history, like the Air Max 1 Breds that just popped up. The Swoosh overlords didn't have anything to do with the rare pair you see before you now, but maybe it was on the mind of Ronnie Fieg when he worked with Jon Buscemi to create this new 100MM design. Red and black is doused all over the upper in a similar arrangement to that immortal first Jordan drop, with a white rubber sole holding it all down. You can bet the materials are ultra premium and the ride is uber comfy too. These are coming soon, so stay locked to SF for drop date info. Pics via Ronnie Fieg's IG.
