Double Trouble: Rihanna and PUMA Reload the Avanti LS

and are back in the lab with a new remix on the Fenty x PUMA . This time around, the drop features two vibrant Avanti LS colourways: a regal black-and-gold version and a lively ‘Pale Plum’.

The black-and-gold iteration features a sleek mix of pebbled leather and suede, elevated with gilded Fenty detailing and classic gum rubber outsoles. The ‘Pale Plum’ edition uses the same premium construction but pairs soft lilac uppers with creamy Formstrips and regal gold accents – fit for a queen. Both silhouettes include classic Avanti LS features: fold‑over tongue, gum-studded outsole referencing football heritage, and branded detailing throughout.

Originally introduced in the early 2000s, the PUMA Avanti fused two performance icons: the legendary PUMA King football boot and the running shoe. With its moulded studs, fold-over tongue, and sleek shape, the Avanti walked the line between sport utility and streetwear style – now, of course, de rigueur for the industry at large.

Rihanna’s partnership with PUMA began back in 2014 when she joined as Creative Director and global ambassador for the women’s division. The collaboration took off with the Fenty in 2015. After a brief hiatus, Fenty relaunched in 2023 alongside the Avanti franchise. Meanwhile, Rihanna's beau signed on as Creative Director for PUMA x Formula 1 fashion in late 2023, spearheading motorsport-inspired collections like the futuristic Gabbia and runners.

The latest batch of Fenty x PUMA Avantis land on August 7.
