Rick Owens and Dr. Martens Exaggerate the 1460 Boot with Mega Laces

Rick Owens and Dr. Martens have come together again on another collaborative drop. As part of the British footwear label’s new ‘14XX’ category, the duo have given the classic 1460 boot a striking makeover.

‘I love using our collaboration to celebrate raw and ferocious self-invented abandon like that of SISSY MISFIT, blasting techno with trans power,’ Rick Owens shared in a press release. ‘Dr Martens always represented inspirational subculture to me and I like honouring that tradition.'

Dubbed the 1460 DMXL Megalace boot, the silhouette arrives with a supple all-black Lunar leather upper for a sleek look. The style is also equipped with the new DMXL sole. Elsewhere, the lightweight EVA compound base comes with PVC pods, which give it an inflated aesthetic. The exaggerated cream lacing system and Dr. Martens’ signature yellow stitching along the sole add the finishing touch.

Rick Owens x 1460 DMXL Megalace Boot will be available on February 8 via Dr. Martens, Rick Owens and select retailers.
