Rick and Morty Have a PUMA Suede Collaboration As Well
Rick and Morty, the eponymous protagonists of the popular TV show, have crossed over into the sneakersphere with a series of official collaborations. Following the release of the basketball shoe in the characters’ colours is this more straightforward , which is out now.
While the Suede was once a popular shoe to play in, PUMA specifically state ‘hang courtside in style’ when wearing them today. This pure lifestyle play allows the model to receive some graphic treatments that otherwise would not be able to stand up to the rigours of sport as reliably as straight suede. There’s a tonal swirl pattern printed into the black upper of these Suedes, which only becomes apparent when looked at up close. The contrasting Formstripe does reveal this slimy graphic due to its toxic green colour. Is it pickle juice? Maybe. There is custom branding on the tongue logos, the insoles call out the titular heroes, and each heel carries a headshot of said characters, complete with swirly eyes.
