Release Info: Slam Jam x New Balance 991 Honours the UK's Famed Shap Store
After a bumper 2020 , are out to continue the good vibes with more colourways and in 2021. Next on the list of luxe link-ups is this very special project with Italy’s , which applies classy grey and black tones across the fan-favourite silhouette.
Part of the 991’s ongoing 20th anniversary celebrations, this latest collaboration reflects Slam Jam’s concept of ‘(Un)corporate Uniforms’, favouring an utilitarian aesthetic and understated palettes. The campaign imagery is stunningly photographed by New York creative Katie Burnett, and showcases New Balance’s famed store in Shap, UK.
The uppers feature black dyeing, with leather and ripstop material providing base. There’s silver reflective hits on the toe and collar, while a metallic ‘N’ logo matches the shimmery details. Down below, we get a two-toned sole, while each pair will come with three different lace options, allowing you to customise the look.
The Slam Jam x New Balance 991 releases at Slam Jam – online and in-store – as well as New Balance store in Shap on May 7. A global launch will follow on May 13.
