Japan’s history with Nike and the beloved Air Max 95 silhouette runs deep, and now another special edition colourway inspired by the Land of the Rising Sun has surfaced. Dubbed the ‘Plum Blossom’, this QS Air Max (QS referring to ‘Quickstrike’) is set to release in Japan, as well as select global stockists. Given has just come and gone, the demand for Japan-inspired kicks is definitely trending upwards.

The headline act on this clean pair is the Japan-inspired patterns, the first of which is spotted out on the heels via the monochromatic Seigaiha graphics that are debossed into the reflective panel. The intriguing wave-like etchings are also seen beneath the sneaker, concealed via the outsole. Inside, there’s a floral pattern decorating the insoles. As far as colours go, there’s a very Japanese mix of whites and reds, with a complementary ‘Smoke Grey’ hue bringing everything together.

Releasing at Nike Japan on August 15, expect the Air Max 95 QS ‘Plum Blossom’ to also arrive at select global retailers. Keep your eyes peeled for ‘em!
