Release Details: The Nike Air Max 90 ‘Moscow’ Drops Soon Release: 14 November 2020
Nike are no strangers to city-inspired sneakers, so it’s only fitting that they’ve brought the popular theme to the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Air Max 90, delivering a special ‘Moscow’ colourway. Paying homage to the rich history and unique architecture of the Russian capital, the colourway also nods to the silhouette’s popularity in the city.
Dressed in a ‘Smoke Grey’ scheme, the sneaker’s exterior is designed to mimic the city’s buildings against the backdrop of a Fall-season sky. It will be constructed in the 2020 recraft shape, with a sleeker, lower toe, and a pattern split of the original Swoosh shape on the medial side.
The neutral tone is offset with ‘Infrared’ and ‘Lazer Blue’ accents, nodding to OG colourways and the city’s vibrant night lights. As for materials, the upper is comprised of leather and suede, with reflective touches working to elevate the architectural aesthetic. Additionally, ‘Speed’ and ‘City’ are printed in Cyrillic on the heel and the sockliner, highlighting the city’s energetic nature.
From Russian with love, the Nike Air Max 90 ‘Moscow’ is expected to release on November 14 at select retailers in Moscow and via Nike. The retail price tag is set at $130.
