Release Details: Mimi Plange x Nike LeBron 18 ‘Higher Learning’

Now sizing-up against the high-confidence Phoenix Suns, LeBron James will no doubt be lacing a starburst of colourways for the opening round.
The latest collaboration to emerge is inspired by varsity jackets, the Mimi Plange x LeBron 18 Low ‘Higher Learning’ the second female design collaboration for LeBron James and his team.
A Ghanaian born fashion designer, Mimi’s work utilises African art, rituals and architecture for inspiration. Her focus for the first collection revolves around the idea of the Letterman jacket and the iconography associated with it.
‘Growing up, something I always loved while going through school was varsity style,’ says Plange. ‘The varsity jacket was this ultimate attempt to explore identity. You could tell the story of everything you did in high school because you won your letters – for basketball, for track, for performing arts, for anything.’
