Release Details Locked in for The Notre x Nike Dunk Highs
After weeks of anticipation, we’ve finally got the official release details for Notre and collaborative collection. If you’ve been paying attention, then you’ll remember earlier this month we received official images for both the ‘’ pair and the ‘’ joint. Following that, sneakersphere super star Don C took to IG to share his personal pair.
Notre are Chicago sneaker scene legends, and most recently reworked the in a creative way using their signature hand shaking logo, and now the crew have linked with Nike on a dual Dunk High collection. Both pairs feature a mix of suede and leather, boasting two-tone uppers, and have purposely pre-yellowed midsoles. The devil is in the details, with the medial Swooshes rocking the Notre hand shake, and workwear uniform-inspired Notre-branded patches laying on the tongue.
This collaboration was also very important for Notre co-founder Michael Jaworowski, as he has credited the Dunk with providing the catalyst for his career, and interest in sneakers. Speaking to Nike News he said, ‘I happened to be at a hockey game for the local team in Grand Rapids and I saw a kid go up the escalator in some crazy red and silver Nikes. I was taken aback by them. When I got home, I jumped on the computer and just started searching Nike red and silver – eventually I discovered it was a Nike SB Dunk’.
Both the Notre x Nike Dunk Highs will release at Notre on January 21, with the ‘Light Orewood Brown’ pair remaining a store exclusive, while the ‘Blue Void pair will receive a wider release via SNKRS on January 23.
