Release Details: The Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 95 Collection
World-renowned fashion designer has officially unveiled his latest collaboration featuring two colourways, and a collection of matching apparel. The creative director has always been fond of the line, and is especially passionate about the Air Max 95. The designer told Nike News, ‘This latest capsule celebrates one of my favourite Nike shoes, the Air Max 95, by looking at the way it could be addressed with modern technology’.
After being not too long ago, release details have crept through alongside some new pics shot by none other than famed fashion photographer Juergen Teller.
Looking at the classic silhouette through a modern lens, Jones made subtle futuristic changes while referencing the 95s rich history. Two colourways have been created, paying homage to the ‘Total Orange’ and ‘Volt’ combos that have adorned the Air silhouette for years, with subtle pops, however switching up the gradient. A mini Swoosh has been placed on the toe cap, followed by Kim Jones scripted along the rear lateral heel. The changed arrowhead eyestays are the main attraction, highlighting the Nexkin material that has been used on silhouettes such as the Zoom Fly SP and React Element 87. Sitting alongside the two Air Max 95s is an extensive apparel collection designed by Jones.
The Kim Jones x Nike collection has been locked in to drop on March 19 via SNKRS and select Swoosh stockists. The ‘Volt’ AM95 and matching apparel will only be available in the United Kingdom, while the ‘Total Orange’ will receive a global drop.
