Release Update: The UNDERCOVER x Nike OverBreak

The legendary Japanese brand UNDERCOVER is already having another piping hot year in terms of sneakers. After unveiling a Dunk High colab in their Fashion Week display earlier this year, they have also hit the scene with their latest Nike colab: the OverBreak.

UNDERCOVER cheekily unveiled the linkup first via a virtual exhibition of their Spring/Summer 2021 men’s collection back in July last year. Following that, a slew of leaks and imagery came through, revealing four colourways that were gearing up for a release. The OverBreak resembles some of the silhouettes in Team Swoosh’s recent ISPA collection, mainly the ISPA Overreact.

Jun Takahashi built these OverBreaks with a mix of mesh and suede. Each pair features ‘Chaos’ and ‘Balance’ scripted on the toe box, as well as the rose insignia above the Swoosh, both features of his previous colabs. The sole on each of the iterations comes finished with speckles. Elsewhere, UNDERCOVER make their mark with a heel logo and co-branded tongue to finish the look.

All four colourways of the UNDERCOVER x Nike OverBreak released on February 19. But a wider release has also been locked in for March 11 via SNKRS for both the black and ‘Overcast’ colourways.
