Release Details: Extra Butter x Happy Gilmore x adidas UltraBOOST ‘Gold Jacket’
New York City boutique are teaming up with to release a special edition 1.0 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of hit 90s film Happy Gilmore. An unmistakable ode to the film’s ‘Gold Jacket’ and villain Shooter McGavin, the sneaker and its complementary collection have been unveiled in a playful lookbook starring Shooter himself, actor Christopher McDonald.
Famously, the ‘Gold Jacket’ is awarded to the winner of the Pro Golf Tour, which Happy Gilmore miraculously joins in the movie. This UB is a playful and luxurious homage to the Adam Sandler classic, dressed in golden Primeknit on the upper with suede overlays. Additionally, there’s white on the laces and lace cage, while Shooter’s trademark finger-gun gesture is debossed on the lateral side of the mudguard. To complete the ensemble, there’s co-branded insoles, a BOOST midsole, and matching yellow rubber outsole. After all, this is Shooter’s tour!
Adding to the collection is an adidas ZG21 performance shoe inspired by mentor Chubbs, and an adilette BOOST Slide nodding to Happy himself. Alongside the footwear, there will also be two electric golf scooters from Phat Scooters, custom bags and club covers from Seamus Golf, a glove from Asher Golf, and gold golf balls by Vice Golf.
