Release Details: The adidas Yeezy 450 ‘Dark Slate’
One of the label’s more genre-breaking silhouettes in recent times, the alien-like Yeezy 450 continues to shift the parameters of sneaker design in 2021.
Composed in a two-piece construction, the 450 cranes necks thanks largely to the wild moulded foam sole unit. Functioning as a kind of exoskeleton, the foam sole forgoes the traditional BOOST and adiPRENE cushioning technology in favour of the EVA foam (in this way sharing characteristics with the Yeezy 700 V3).
Another design assist from Steven Smith, the Yeezy 450 features classic one-piece Primeknit uppers secured by an integrated lacing system.
Originally glimpsed outside of the Yeezy Season 8 fashion show at Paris Fashion Week, the Yeezy 450 has routinely caused a stir since its initial tease.
