Release Date: The Foo Fighters x Vans Sk8-Hi
After being last week, a release date and official images have now been revealed for the upcoming Foo Fighters x collaboration. Vans have joined forces with the 12-time Grammy winners for this limited-edition design that will drop just days before the February 5 release of the band’s 10th studio album: Medicine at Midnight.
Vans have been on high rotation for Foo Fighter’s band members throughout their long career, rocked in the studio and on stadium stages all around the world. And the band chose the Sk8-Hi for its iconic form, maintaining that signature aesthetic, before adding a few personal touches – such as the band’s instantly recognisable emblem.
With this release forming part of celebrations to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Foo Fighter’s self-titled debut album, a special embroidery tag has been added inside the tongue to denote the occasion, while the Sk8-Hi’s beloved Sidestripe is just hinted at via contrast stitching, which Vans say mirrors the Foo Fighters’ stripped-back musical style.
Pairs of the Foo Fighters x Vans Sk8-Hi will be available from January 29 from Vans, the Foo Fighters website, and selected Vans stockists.
