Release Date: The sacai x Nike VaporWaffle
It’s been nearly eight months since follow-up to the sneakersphere-breaking LDV Waffle was first seen at Paris Fashion Week, and now we’ve finally got a release date for the sacai x VaporWaffle.
Throughout the year, we’ve been drip-fed four iterations of the model, and they all come with a fair whack of sacai DNA. Doubled-up details carry on the vibe of 2019’s hit hybrid, and the layered Swooshes, dual tongues, and mind-bending stacked soles steal the show again on the VaporWaffle.
Bold colour play has also carried over, with each member of the quartet pairing tones to grab attention. The wildest of the bunch, the String/Villain Red/Neptune Green brings together burgundy and turquoise in a way that shouldn’t work, but somehow does. Elsewhere, ‘Tour Yellow’ and ‘Stadium Green’ combine for a sporty feel, and ‘Sport Fuschia’ and ‘Game Royal’ add complementary colour to a ‘Sail’ base. Finally, a black and white build offers something for the colour averse.
Latest reports slate an early November release, so you’ve got a bit of time to steel yourself against the potential L.
