Washington Wizards forward Rui Hachimura has been one of the faces of the Jordan Brand’s flagship lineup since he was drafted, and now the 22-year-old is getting a special Air Jordan 35 colourway dubbed the ‘Warrior’. One of the colourways unveiled as part of the AJ35’s official announcement, it wears a ‘Bred’ scheme, comprising of black and red tones chosen by Hachimura’s mother.

Black and red uppers wear a collar similar to the popular Air Jordan 5, with the new Flightwire system hitting on the midfoot highlighted with large red and black suede strips. Hachimura’s samurai-inspired logo features on the left tongue, while the familiar Jumpman lands on the right side. Look to the rear, and you’ll find ‘Nike Air’ tags hanging off each heel. For the sole tech, we get the Eclipse Plate 2.0 technology in the midsole for improved spring, stability, and arch support. The plate has a black-to-red gradient fade, working together with heel and forefoot Zoom Air bags to achieve added responsiveness. Last but not least, a grey outsole works to break up the bold tones above.

Embodying Rui Hachimura’s warrior spirit, these Air Jordan 35s are releasing on Nike SNKRS on October 21.
