Reebok Toughen Up the Instapump Fury X GTX in ‘Triple Black’
After dropping the experimental X GTX in the OG colourway, are following up with a tough ‘Triple Black edition that looks ready to mow down any surface and climate thrown at it. This is thanks to some hardcore tech upgrades that puts this model more in line with a winter hiker than its original runner intentions.
Reebok have done this by raising the ankle collar, turning the Instapump Fury into a proper high top. This means all other proportions are enlarged too, with the laceless tongue design extending to wrap the ankle in a neoprene sock. Behind it is an impermeable layer of , which is a lightweight alternative of the famous waterproof membrane that is more flexible and breathable than the regular version.
As the Fury is now at boot dimensions, some components have been relocated. The Pump buttons have notably moved to the lateral side, evoking comparisons to the Dual Pump. Replacing the tongue is a zipper entry, allowing extra custom fit when used alongside the eponymous external Pump bladder. Elsewhere chunky trail tread plus reinforced toe and heel bumpers beefs things up underfoot.
