Shaquille O'Neal gave himself many a nickname over the course of his 19-year NBA career – 'The Big Shaqtus,' 'The Big Shamrock,' 'Shaq Fu', and 'MDE (short for 'most dominant ever') are a few that come to mind – but among Shaq's multitude of memorable monikers, 'The Big Aristotle' is undeniably top-tier. Now, Reebok are celebrating Shaq's Grecian philosopher-influenced alter ego with a special marbled take on his Shaqnosis.

The marble print and swirling, concentric grey suede overlays on this Shaqnosis makeup are a nod to the marble sculptures of Aristotle's ancient Greece, while hits of purple suede on the heel and purple stitching on the toe bumper nod to a much more recent time: Shaq's years with the Los Angeles Lakers. Black detailing on the tongue, collar and toe cap plus plenty of Shaq-centric branding round off the look.

It was during his time with the Lakers, in fact, that Shaq gave himself the nom de guerre that inspired this shoe. 'From this day on, I want to be known as "The Big Aristotle," because Aristotle once said excellence is not a singular act, it's a habit,' Shaq said in an interview after winning the 2000 NBA MVP award. Though Shaq isn't quite right about the quote's origin – per CheckYourFact, it's actually from a 1926 philosophy book – the comparison is still hilarious. Plus, it gave us these shoes!

Expect the Reebok Shaqnosis 'The Big Aristotle' to release via the Reebok webstore and retailers like Foot Locker on April 8. Its MSRP is set at $150.
