Reebok Send the Zig 3D Storm Hydro Down ‘River Rapids’
The is a new and exciting model from the brand’s Special Projects department. It’s already snagged two collaborative colourways with regular partners , and the inline editions have also been pretty strong. Reebok are now adding a new trio of GR (but still fairly limited edition) options, collectively called the ‘River Rapids’ pack.
The Zig 3D Storm Hydro actually contains an amalgamation of archival Reebok designs, one of them being an old water sports shoe. So, the ‘River Rapids’ inspiration begins to become clear. The hydrophobic elements of the Zig 3D Storm Hydro are expressed by the ShelterShield lace shroud, providing a protective zippered cover for the instep of the mesh and rubberised upper. Where previous colourways took a dark turn, the ‘River Rapids’ editions are a white-knuckle thrill ride with hits of bright orange, white, steel blue, and yellow – but there is one tonal grey option that stays in form with the deeper shades. Each colourway sits atop the second generation Zig Kinetica 2 midsole, which is the latest application of Reebok casual comfort tech.
