Reebok Roll Out More Pump Omni Zone 2s
The Omni Zone 2 bringback continues with a new OG-styled colourway hitting shelves soon. The 30th anniversary of the iconic basketball shoe kicked off with a retro of its OG black colourway as worn by Dee Brown back in 1991 when he performed the ‘no look’ dunk at the 1991 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. That was then followed by a number of collaborations and inline colourways, all of which have adhered to a more accurate revival of the Pump Omni Zone 2 design.
While the general form of the Pump Omni Zone 2 looks fairly similar to previous iterations, it’s actually very different once the finer details are scrutinised. The ankle is now considerably taller than the mid-cut height used on the more common Pump Omni Lite. On the material front, the leather and mesh uppers are truer to OG, with seemingly minute elements like perforation placement and collar linings considered. However, not everything has stayed period correct, such as the slightly updated Pump branding on the basketball tongue logo that doubles as the Pump mechanism. That being said, only the most fickle of sneakerheads will care about that.
This chalky white edition will release exclusively to Reebok Members on October 15 directly from Reebok.
