Despite originally releasing over 25 years ago, the Reebok Instapump Fury remains a divisive sneaker that has burnt its unorthodox design into the minds of sneakerheads and normies alike. For those that missed out on the ‘Citron’ retro two years ago, and those who have already smashed their pair into the ground, rejoice at the fact that the OG Instapump Fury colourway is set to restock very soon.

This looks more or less like the 2019 reissue, down to the SKU code. Of course, the main technological feat of the Instapump is its laceless design that provides custom fit via an inflatable bladder. The original 1994 editions could be topped up using a special CO2 inflator, but subsequent reissues have simply used a built in button on the tongue. The hardware is starkly black against the highlighter bright ‘Citron’ bladder, which sits against black mesh and red highlights.

Underfoot, Hexalite cushioning reveals itself via cut-out windows in the heel portion of the segmented midsole, which has proven itself to be still comfortable decades on. A faux carbon weave arch bridge, once known as Graphlite, strips plenty of weight, while also providing structure.

The Reebok Instapump Fury OG ‘Citron’ will re-release at retailers like atmos on May 15. Expect global availability.
