Enter the Reebok ‘Pump Universe’ of Remixed ModelsRelease: 17 February 2023 Colourway: Pump Universe
Colourway: Pump Universe
Thirty-two years after Dee Brown unleashed the historic ‘No Look’ dunk in a pair of Pumps, Reebok will release a new trio of remixed models that celebrate the legacy of the iconic sneaker technology. Out now is the ‘Pump Universe’ of the Question Pump, Shaq Victory Pump and Legacy Lifter III Pump, each featuring the eponymous inflatable tongue and hybrid merging of memorable 1990s models.
The Question Pump is indeed a fusion of the Question Mid and Pump Omni Zone 2 Mid. It answers the hypothetical ‘What If?’ scenario of Allen Iverson entering the Dunk Contest. The latter model’s colourway and motifs are transferred to the former, also bringing across the basketball tongue device displaying the name of the tech.
Similarly, the Shaq Victory Pump brings to life the crazy scenario of Shaquille O’Neal hitting the tennis court with Michael Chang to combine the Shaq Attaq and Court Victory into one shoe. Again, both models feature Pump Tech, so it appears here, along with a new Shaq Tennis logo.
The Legacy Lifter III Pump is something of an outlier in this pack, as the base model is derived from Reebok’s contemporary performance line. However, the addition of the Pump Omni’s black and white colourways and orange Pump tongue makes an interesting reverse-retrofit.
The Question Pump and Shaq Victory Pump is available now from Reebok, Foot Locker and Champs, while the Legacy Lifter III Pump is available directly from Reebok. More pairs will be entering the ‘Pump Universe’ later this year.
