When Boston Celtics guard Dee Brown kept bending down to inflate his Reebok Pumps during the 1991 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, he gave the brand one of the most memorable, marketable moments in their century-plus history. Now, Reebok are using the Pump Omni Zone II – a slightly-modernized version of the shoes Brown wore during that Dunk Contest – as a canvas for their signature white, red and blue palette. Dubbed the 'Heritage,' this new Pump Omni Zone II nods to a singular moment in Reebok history and flies the flag for their signature colours.

High-top uppers are made of crispy white leather and mesh, which serve as a base for bold, sporty red and blue accents that can be seen across the midfoot overlays, midsole, branded hits, and, of course, the signature Pump ball on the tongue. For a finishing touch, the midsole is loaded with classic Hexalite cushioning.

Reebok's retro hoops offerings have largely been centred around Allen Iverson's famous Question and Answer IV as of late, so it's nice to see the Omni Zone II and other silhouettes like Shawn Kemp's recently-renamed Hurrikaze II get some shine as well. You can expect the Reebok Pump Omni Zone II 'Heritage' to hit retailers on July 14, and expect to pay $160 for a pair.
