Reebok Launch ‘Cotton and Corn’ Initiative With Plant-Based NPC UK
are set to launch their ‘Cotton and Corn’ initiative with a 100% recyclable, sneaker. Developed by the Reebok team, the program looks to develop plant-based sneakers underpinned by the ‘made from things that grow’ ethos.
The first drop from the initiative is a USDA-approved, woven cotton design, with a field corn derivative replacing standard petroleum-based outsoles. Castor bean oil is used for the sneaker’s insole, while the packaging features totally recycled materials.
