Reebok and Ghostbusters Are Back With Another Colab
, collaborated with the franchise to celebrate the classic sci-fi-horror-comedy series by way of an extensive footwear and apparel collection. A year on, Reebok know who to call again to drop another colab pack ahead of the upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife film, the latest entry in the cinematic series.
Like the first collection, iconic elements from the Ghostbusters films are referenced, which goes beyond just characters. Iconic props are reinterpreted in sneaker form, such as the Ecto Boot that nods to the Ectomobile. While the distinct becomes even more of a head-turner thanks to pink slime drizzled all over its upper.
Meanwhile, other sneakers in the pack are a more direct translation of Ghostbusters motifs, namely the human and supernatural cast. Ghostbusters: Afterlife introduces a new ghost named Muncher, who is also immortalised in sneaker form via the pale blue, glow-in-the-dark Zig Kinetica. And another classic Ghostbusters villain – Mr. Stay-Puft – is also summoned onto a Zig Kinetica.
Finally, the Terror Dogs, as made famous by the original Ghostbusters film, are trapped in a pair of black suede with gnashing teeth and slime graphics across the upper.
Reebok Members get first access to the Ghostbusters collaboration on October 13, followed by a wider release on October 15.
