Sky Meets Stone on Two JD-Exclusive PUMA Speedcat Colourways
As above, so below: two new colourways of the women’s have just dropped exclusively One's celestial, and the other's terrestrial – but they both tap into a plush, hushed aesthetic that elevates the model into luxe territory.
The Speedcat’s low-pro silhouette and motorsporting history endear it to bold, primary-colour palettes. But the model hits different when it leans into a more subtle sophistication – such as the quiet, monochrome colourways of the recent , and Extra-chic case in point: the new ‘Warm White/Ice Coffee’ and ‘Ice Coffee/Alpine Snow’ editions.
True to its title, the ‘Warm White/Ice Coffee’ version is an airy, creamy ensemble with small PUMA logos integrated at the lateral toe, quarter and heel, embroidered in the same ‘Warm White’ as the suede they're stitched into (the serenest of branding flexes). A perfectly roasted ‘Ice Coffee’ Formstrip lands in shaggier-textured suede, and a tractioned-rubber sole with rounded heel scoops it all together.
The comparatively grounded ‘Ice Coffee/Alpine Snow’ colourway goes with earthy brown as its cloak, and its lighter Formstrip gives quiet emphasis to the Speedcat’s feline lines. Big Cat logos in ‘Alpine Snow’ hit the lateral quarter and toe as well as the heel, giving low-key pops of contrast.
