LaMelo Ball Defines Dynasty with the PUMA MB.01 'Golden Child'

PUMA and LaMelo Ball have been cranking out colourway after colourway of the MB.03. For their next release they're going back to the blueprint. Hot on the heels of the Charlotte Hornets star’s ‘Chino Hills’, ‘ Toxic’, and ' LaFrancé' colourways for his third signature sneaker, PUMA return to LaMelo's inaugural silhouette, crowning the masses with a wider release of former player exclusive, the 'Golden Child' MB.01.

Since debuting in 2021, LaMelo’s first signature sneaker has been flying off the shelves. Last year’s Rick and Morty flavoured MB.01 instantly became a collector’s item. This year the Melo Rare Reserve Line has been delivering the goods, with many of LaMelo's player exclusive colourways seeing public releases. After Melo laced up on the hardwood in the ‘ Digital Camo’ and ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ editions, basketball fans and sneakerheads alike were primed to cop on drop day.

The next instalment of the PUMA MB.01 might become the shape's most exalted pair. The ‘Golden Child’ gets its title from LaMelo’s nickname, who’s considered the most talented player of the Ball brothers. Dipped from heel to toe in a ‘Metallic Gold’ treatment, this opulent tincture of the MB.01 silhouette consists of the standard engineered mesh upper with the NITRO Infused midsole providing buoyancy and responsiveness. The metallic detailing is most highly focused along the rear of the midsole. The regal treatment is finished with ‘Fiery Coral’ ornamentation on the tongue, vamp, and spine of the heel.

The PUMA MB.01 ‘Golden Child’ are now available with a $140 price tag.
